## What to Expect Your First Sunday at FBC Fenton
Visiting a new church for the first time can feel a little intimidating — especially if you're not sure what kind of place you're walking into or whether you'll fit in. We get it.
This is a no-surprises guide to your first Sunday at First Baptist Church of Fenton. We want you to feel prepared, comfortable, and genuinely welcomed.

### Where We Are and When We Meet
**Address:** 860 N. Leroy St., Fenton, MI 48430
**Sunday Service:** 10:30 AM
**Parking:** Free parking is available in our lot, and our Welcome Team will be outside to greet you when you arrive.
---
### What Happens When You Walk In
When you pull into the parking lot, you'll be greeted by members of our Welcome Team — friendly faces who are genuinely glad you came. Inside, you'll find a welcoming lobby where you can grab a bulletin, ask any questions, and get a feel for the building.
There are no nametags, no pressure to stand up and introduce yourself, and no awkward visitor spotlights. Just a warm welcome and room to take it all in.
---
### The Worship Service
Our service runs about 75–80 minutes and typically includes:
- **Congregational worship** — We sing songs that are both contemporary and rooted in historic Christian theology. Our worship leader Laurie Campau leads our congregation with heart and authenticity.
- **Biblical preaching** — Pastor James Bell preaches straight from the Bible, verse by verse. The messages are practical, honest, and grounded in Scripture — whether you're a lifelong believer or exploring faith for the first time.
- **A welcoming atmosphere** — Come as you are. Jeans, casual clothes — it's all welcome. We care more about who you are than how you're dressed.

### What About My Kids?
**Children's Church** is available during the 10:30 AM service for children through elementary age. Your kids will be in a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment led by trained volunteers who love Jesus and genuinely love kids.
You'll check your children in at our Kids Ministry area when you arrive. First-time families get a personal walkthrough of the process.
---
### Do I Have to Do Anything?
Absolutely not. You can sit, observe, and just take it all in. No one will ask you to give money, sign anything, or make any decisions. Your first visit is just about showing up and seeing if FBC feels like home.
That said — if you have questions, our pastors and staff are always available to talk after the service.
---
### After the Service
After the service, the lobby fills up quickly with conversation. People genuinely stick around and connect. If you'd like to meet a pastor, just hang around — Pastor James and Pastor Cody always make time to talk with newcomers.
We also have a **Welcome Center** where you can pick up information about our ministries, small groups, and next steps.
