Global Missions at FBC Fenton — Why We Send, Give, and Go
First Baptist Church of Fenton is not just a local church — we're a sending church. Here's an inside look at our global missions partnerships in Pakistan, India, and Thailand, and how you can be part of the work.
## Global Missions at FBC Fenton
At First Baptist Church of Fenton, we believe the Great Commission is not optional and not outsourced. Jesus said, *"Go and make disciples of all nations"* — and we take that seriously. We are a local church with a global heartbeat.
That means your giving at FBC Fenton goes further than Fenton. It crosses oceans. It reaches into places where the gospel is rare, where following Jesus can cost you everything, and where people are waiting for someone to bring them the hope we have.
Here is an inside look at who we partner with and what that work looks like.

## Our Mission Partners
### Pakistan
Pakistan is one of the most spiritually challenging nations in the world for followers of Christ. Christians are a small minority in a predominantly Muslim country, and persecution is real — not abstract. Our partners are indigenous pastors and church planters who live and work in Pakistani communities every day. They are not foreigners parachuting in. They know the language, the culture, and the people they serve.
FBC Fenton comes alongside them through financial support, prayer, biblical training resources, and regular communication. Our goal is to strengthen churches that are already rooted in their communities — and to encourage the men and women courageously planting new ones in places where no church exists.
You can partner with this work through your giving and through our monthly Missions Team prayer updates.

### India
India is home to hundreds of distinct people groups — many of them completely unreached by the gospel. Our partners in India are nationals: pastors and church planters who are reaching some of the most unreached populations in the world, in their own language, within their own culture.
We come alongside them with prayer, financial support, and biblical resources. Through our Missions Team, members of FBC can stay connected to this work through regular updates, prayer requests, and future opportunities to go in person.

### Thailand
FBC Fenton partners with tribal leaders and local pastors in Thailand who are working to strengthen existing churches and plant new ones among unreached people groups in the mountains and rural areas. Thailand has significant Buddhist and animist populations, with very limited gospel access in many regions. Our partners live and minister in these communities full-time.
We support them through prayer, financial giving, and ongoing relationship. Members of FBC have participated in missions trips to Thailand, and we hope to continue building that connection for years to come.

## How You Can Be Part of This
You don't have to travel to be a missionary. Here's how every person at FBC can engage with global missions:
**Pray.** Our Missions Team sends regular prayer updates with specific requests from our partners in the field. This is the most important thing you can do, and the easiest to start.
**Give.** A portion of every dollar given at FBC Fenton goes directly to supporting our international mission partners. You can also designate gifts specifically toward missions.
**Join the Missions Team.** Our Missions Team is a group of FBC members who coordinate prayer, communication, care packages, and trip planning for our international partners. It's one of the most rewarding ways to serve at FBC.
**Go.** We periodically organize missions trips to visit and serve alongside our partners in Thailand and potentially other regions. If you've ever thought about going on a missions trip — this is your church for that.

## The Bigger Picture
Every missions trip, every prayer gathering, every dollar given toward international work is an act of faith. It says: we believe the gospel is worth crossing the world for. We believe people in Pakistan, India, and Thailand are made in the image of God and deserve to hear the name of Jesus.
That conviction starts in Fenton, Michigan — and it doesn't stop at the city limits.
